Ayoub Lyaacoubi, known as Acoby, believes his journey as an artist truly began after he left the National Institute of Fine Arts in 2022, following three years of study.

This decision liberated his creative process, enabling him to create art without the constraints and expectations of academic and peer influence.

During his time at art school, his unconventional and non-formal approach to art often caused him stress.

It was only after gaining this freedom that his true artistic journey began.

“I find it very inspiring to me and have brought me so much peace in a time when I needed it and I can't thank Allah enough for blessing us with it. The work, how I see it, is just a physical form to my appreciation to Allah and to flowers.”

Acoby has a deep love for plants and all aspects of nature, with a particular affinity for the green, vibrant elements.

He finds a profound sense of commonality with plants, drawing immense inspiration from them.

Acoby's journey with community isn't just about art - it's about personal growth too. Imagine him sitting with a cup of coffee, reflecting on how his views have changed.

"Though I always believed in "community" and always found myself engaging in communities, the idea of being in a group of people that share the same motives as I do and making work together was something i didn't know I needed or something that i'd grow to love and cherish this much"
