Nyzar Trabxlsi - YASALAM (Intl.)

Nyzar Trabxlsi, known professionally as NZX, is a dynamic multidisciplinary artist and art director whose work spans continents and cultures.

Born and raised in Tunis, Tunisia, and now based in Detroit, USA, he embodies the fusion of North African creativity with global urban influences.

“Through my art, I coalesce colorful imagery with dark humor to elucidate the nuances of Maghrebi-Arab identity and culture. I am inspired by the flaws of society and the obstacles that creatives, in North Africa specifically and in the Global South more broadly, face amidst capitalism and inequality.”

As a versatile artist, his portfolio encompasses a wide range of mediums including graphic design, digital illustration, video editing, motion design, and fashion.

This diverse skill set allows him to create a unique visual language that resonates across different platforms and audiences.

Nyzar's entrepreneurial spirit led him to found "Fichier Caché," an experimental atelier and streetwear brand based in North Africa.

This venture serves as a platform for his innovative designs and as a bridge between traditional North African aesthetics and contemporary street culture.

He has made a particular impact in the music industry, serving as art director for numerous music videos and album covers for celebrated North African artists.

His work in this realm showcases his ability to visually interpret and enhance musical narratives.

NZX's affinity for underground and counterculture movements further informs his artistic vision.

This influence is evident in the edgy, often provocative nature of his designs, which challenge conventional aesthetics and push creative boundaries.

Through his multifaceted career, Nyzar Trabxlsi continues to evolve as an artist, consistently pushing the boundaries of his craft while remaining deeply connected to his roots.

His work not only showcases his technical skill and creative vision but also serves as a powerful medium for cultural expression and social critique in an increasingly interconnected world.
